When does the Commonwealth Integrity Survey run?

The Commonwealth Integrity Survey occurs every 2 years, from August to September.

The next Commonwealth Integrity Survey will run from 17 August to 25 September 2026.

What is the Commonwealth Integrity Survey?

The Commonwealth Integrity Survey collects observations and perceptions of integrity and corruption within the Commonwealth public sector from Commonwealth public sector employees. The survey:

  • provides agencies and the Commission with a better understanding of the nature and extent of corruption in the Commonwealth public sector
  • supports agencies to assess risks by highlighting indicators that corruption may be occurring
  • identifies areas to target corruption prevention and integrity efforts, including around employees’ understanding of corruption, integrity culture, and barriers to reporting
  • helps identify changes since the 2024 survey so agencies can assess the impact of corruption prevention initiatives over the last two years and identify emerging issues.

The survey is an opportunity for employees to provide anonymous feedback to their agency and the Commission about integrity and corruption issues.

How we use survey insights

The Commonwealth Integrity Survey helps to understand and measure observations and trends relating to integrity and corruption within agencies and across a diverse workforce.

The Commission and agencies can use survey data to identify potential areas of corruption risk and inform anti-corruption strategies and corruption prevention initiatives. This helps to better protect individuals and agencies from corruption.

Survey results

The Commission provides each agency head with an individual report on their agency’s results.

These reports are de-identified. Data for small workgroups is aggregated to help ensure individuals cannot be identified.

Broad survey results and insights are available in:
