Before you make a referral to the National-Anti Corruption Commission (NACC), check if your concern falls within the NACC's jurisdiction.
The National Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2022 (the NACC Act) defines who is in the jurisdiction and what corrupt conduct is. This includes conduct that occurred before or after the NACC was established.
To investigate a corruption issue, the NACC must have information raising the possibility that a person has done or could do something that:
- involves, or could involve, a Commonwealth public official
- is, or could be, corrupt conduct, and
- could involve serious or systemic corrupt conduct.
The NACC cannot:
- act on your behalf to resolve a complaint
- review decisions of agencies or courts
- investigate matters outside its jurisdiction
